She had always been fascinated by dungeons and dragons. As a young girl, she would sit for hours listening to the stories her grandfather would tell of brave heroes and evil villains. She would watch in awe as he would act out the battles, using whatever objects happened to be around as props. When he died, she was heartbroken. But she vowed to keep his memory alive by becoming a dungeon master herself.

Now, years later, she was finally ready to run her first game. She had carefully crafted her campaign, making sure to include all of the elements that had made her grandfather’s stories so special to her. She couldn’t wait to see the look on her players’ faces when they realized they were about to embark on an epic quest.

As she gathered her materials and set up the game board, she couldn’t help but feel a twinge of nerves. Would her players like it? Would they have fun? There was only one way to find out.
