There’s something about dungeons and dragons that just captured my imagination as a young girl. Maybe it was the allure of playing a character who wasn’t bound by the constraints of reality, or maybe it was the sheer scale of the fantasy world that could be created. Whatever the reason, I was hooked from the moment I picked up my first Elf Bard character.
She was young and idealistic, with a head full of curly, bald green hair. She didn’t take herself too seriously, but she had a core of determination that would see her through any adventure. I loved playing her, and I loved losing myself in the world of Dungeons and Dragons. It was a place where I could be anyone I wanted to be, and do anything I wanted to do.
For me, Dungeons and Dragons was more than just a game. It was an escape from the real world, where I could be whoever I wanted to be. And for that reason, it will always hold a special place in my heart.
