She had always been fascinated by stories of daring adventurers and their quests to save the world from certain doom. So when she was finally old enough to start playing Dungeons and Dragons, she was all in. She created her character – an elf bard named Lila – with care, making sure she was everything she wanted to be. And Lila quickly became her favourite part of the game.

Lila was different from her in many ways – she was brave where she was scared, confident where she was shy. But in other ways, they were very alike. They both loved music and storytelling, and they both had a soft spot for animals. It wasn’t long before the game stopped being just a game for her, and Lila started feeling like a real person.

She would get lost in hours-long conversations with her friends about what Lila might do in various situations, or what kind of people she might meet on her travels. She even started dreaming about adventures with Lila, exploring far-off lands and saving the world from evil forces.

For her, Dungeons and Dragons was more than just a game – it was a way to escape from reality and become someone else for awhile. And she loved every minute of it.
