The young man sits at the table, his long black hair falling over his shoulders as he looks down at the board in front of him. His fingers idly trace the patterns on the surface, tracing the paths that his figurines have taken over the course of the game. He is an elf, a bard, and he is playing dungeons and dragons with his friends.

He is transported to another world when he plays, a world of magic and mystery, where he can be anyone he wants to be. He can be a brave knight, slaying dragons and rescuing damsels in distress, or a cunning rogue, sneaking through dark caves and pilfering treasure. It is a world where anything is possible, and he loves it.

His friends are all gathered around the table with him, each of them playing their own part in this imaginary adventure. Together, they laugh and joke as they battle monsters and solve puzzles, their imaginations running wild. For a few hours, they are completely immersed in this otherworldly experience, forgetting about their everyday lives.
