There’s something about dungeons and dragons that just grabs you, draws you in. It’s the thrill of the unknown, the adventure of delving into dark places, seeking out ancient treasures. It’s the camaraderie of working together with a group of friends to overcome challenges. And it’s the satisfaction of watching your character grow and change over time, becoming more powerful and skilled as you advance through the game.
For me, it all started with my first elf character. She was a druid, and I remember feeling so proud when I created her, naming her and choosing her stats. I played her for years, taking her on all sorts of adventures, and she quickly became my favorite character. I loved roleplaying her, exploring her backstory and personality. She was strong and wise, but also compassionate and kind. And she had the most beautiful long golden hair.
Over time, I’ve created many other characters – male and female, human and non-human – but that first elf will always hold a special place in my heart. There’s just something about those dungeons and dragons…
