There’s something about dungeons and dragons that just grabs hold of you and doesn’t let go. Maybe it’s the excitement of delving into dark, dangerous places, where who-knows-what lurks around every corner. Or maybe it’s the challenge of taking on fearsome foes and coming out victorious. Whatever the reason, once you’ve started playing, it’s hard to stop.

And that’s why I love it so much.

I started playing when I was just a kid and I haven’t looked back since. I’ve played all sorts of different characters, from elven wizards to dwarven warriors to human druids. But my favourite has always been my current character, a middle-aged man with short black hair. He’s not the strongest or the bravest or the most skilled, but he’s clever and resourceful and he always manages to find a way to win through in the end.
