Long ago, in a time before recorded history, there were elves. These elves were the first children of the world, and they lived in harmony with nature. One day, a group of elves decided to explore the world beyond their forest home. They traveled for many years, and eventually came to a vast and empty wasteland. In this wasteland, they found a huge dragon asleep on a bed of gold. The elves tried to wake the dragon, but it was too late. The dragon had been killed by a group of adventurers who had entered its lair looking for treasure. The elves took the dragon’s hoard of gold and built a great city with it. They named this city after the dragon, and it became known as Dragonspyre.

The Elves who lived in Dragonspyre were a peaceful people, and they prospered for many years. However, one day a group of druids came to the city and demanded that the Elves give them half of all the dragonshards in the city. The Elves refused, and so the druids cast a powerful spell that turned all of the dragonshards in the city to dust.
